Like many vessels, MV Fairsky wore several different guises. She served as an escort carrier with both the US and Royal Navies during WW2, but it was after her transformation into an elegant passenger liner for the Vaslov Group that she featured in my life, being the ship that brought me to Britain from Australia in 1967.
